It looked really good on the odyssey+ especially with the deep black levels. The story was very good, and the devs know how to optimized UE4 to look great in VR (tough to do sometimes) Please devs make another.. This was by far the best narrative experience I have had in VR yet. Clearly a lot of work went in to this. The visuals are great and the story itself is great. Some scenes evoke so much more awe in you than any flat screen can muster. I found myself continuously thinking "wow this is amazing" as I watched. I hope this style of story telling takes off, because I want to see a lot more of this.My only small gripes are that some scenes can unnecesarilly jump around a bit too much like it was still being viewed on a screen when they dont need to, and the last scene every time it changed settings back and forth there was a loading screen for a split second which kind of broke up the immersion. This was on I7-6700k, 1080ti and SSD.Otherwise amazing experience. I hope you make more like this, I will buy day one.Edit: Watched again with Pimax 5K+... amazing. The story is beautiful, emotional and well written. The voice actors did a great job, the visuals are sweet and the sound atmosphere really is immersive.Get this if you own a VR headset. It's more than worth it.. sound with no pictures sometimes. If you love VR and movies, you'll love this. Great presentation, story and atmosphere. Runs great except for the loading screens others have commented on. The asking price seems almost too low for this quality. More of this please.. Would like to see more animated content for VR. Well - I have given this much thought, but after all I cannot recommend 'The Great C'. And even though it is not very expensive.It is a short VR movie (about 38 minutes) and the plot is loosely from Philipp K.♥♥♥♥♥♥s short story "The Great C". Now, the problem with the story is, that the Developers did change the story so much, that its meaning gets distorted and in the end is not conclusive. Just my opinion. Also to make things clearer there should have been some more scenes to it.An in depth article is in the DISCUSSIONS Section of the COMMUNITY HUB.After all it was ok to watch, it is one of the early VR movie experiences and it costs only 5 Euros, and that's why I didn't refund it. I expected something better.. As a filmmaker, I was intruiged by this game and it's push into VR as a storytelling platform. After all it was only $5.But alas, the writing is pretty flimsy and the graphics are very telltale-esque which isn't bad. Although, I feel like they didn't get the scale right. Viewing in VR, you feel like you are watching a mini-world rather than being in there with them. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not. I got about halfway through before I lost interest in the story although I do feel I need to finish it to get a good idea of the whole film.If you have $5 to spare and want a "eh" experience, go for it. If you're pinching your pennies, I'd recommend keeping your cash.. Beautifully rendered and a nice story. Not sure how VR really added anything to the story, though. Still, it was enjoyable except for the occasional transition/download screen that would pop up between scenes.
